Gone Enough

She was afraid to look into their eyes
Knew they saw right through her lies
Even crying was braver
Than her ridiculous behavior
Thought she could fool her own mind
Told herself she was an unwanted kind
But she’d always belong out on the road
Sat there for hours while her energy would reload
She came back whenever she was led astray
And learned to be closer while she was away
Every disappearance makes her stronger
She has to go back, she can’t wait any longer
