You’ve been walking this road far too long
Singing that same old useless song
But the hurtful words never reached your ears
You don’t realize you’ve always been chasing your fears

You’ve been driving around in the rain
Screaming for someone to feel your pain
Don’t you know it makes you feel alive
It’s the only thing that feeds your drive

The drive to be given what you are worth
A reason you’d stay alive on this Earth
Don’t ever be frightened of being alone
In time you’ll find your home and throne

The road has many obstacles to come
Maintain the rhythm of your own drum
You’re still looking down for something below
While life is above and allows you to grow
