We watch as the sky divides
The rain subsides
Winds sing a lullaby
The clouds glide away so shy
A moonlight dance across the land
I reach out my hand
To feel the soothing breeze
It’s whispering with the trees
And so, I am found
Lying on the soft ground
Beside my dearest friend
As our lies come to an end
She opens up her bedroom window to find a blue
summer sky
Not yet colored by the dark despite its late hours
The cool night air fills her lungs
And she cries
She knows this is as free as she’ll ever be
