Liars & Snakes

This little trickery
Means nothing to me
Means nothing until there’s no one around to see

Behind closed doors
Wrestling on the floor
Fighting for our lives, like we never have before

When we hear our names
We just turn away
Never looking up, just a way of saving face

Liars and snakes
We’re raising our stakes
Pretending and cheating, doing whatever it takes

Town

So you stare at the spot
On the wall, in your room
In the house that you grew up in
In the town you dislike
With the people you despise
In a country so full of ignorance
You’re better than all of them

Dwell

How I wish that you would make it up to me
How I wish you wouldn’t leave my side
If you’d ever want to prove your loyalty
I guess you’d finally have to swallow your pride
Apologize
Take me by surprise
I wonder if you’re up for it, I’d love to see you try
Quit your lies
Look me in the eyes
Tell me that you made a mistake and I just might think twice
How I wish I’d be as careless as you are
How I wish I’d leave this rut I’m in
At some point I have to surrender this war
But before I move on I just have to win
