A product in the corner, waiting to be polished
Not that it’s about the shine
It’s what’s inside that really matters
They say, and pose next to an empty vase

Stay within the lines, it’s dangerous outside
They say, and lock me in, just in case
You should follow your own dreams
What do you want to be?
A lawyer, a pop-star, a manager?

Not that it’s about the money
Just for the sake of your future
It’s not about fame, they say, and mention their name

Taste It

The more I think the less I breathe
The less we want the things we need
How come we always forget the pain
When loneliness turns one insane?
Limits and borders I’ve found to cross
When only one thing feels like a loss
And if I lose I’ll trigger a war
No one is innocent, not anymore

And if you lose you let yourself drown
You’ll keep sinking, turn yourself down
If you actually win, you’ll become bored
You will quickly forget about your reward
But those golden seconds of when you have won
They are worth everything you’ve ever done

 

Worthless

You weren’t worth the lie

The flame was too dry
Oh and that worthless smile
It all felt like an endless mile

Too many empty words have been told
