It’s been far too long
My nights are filled with bad ideas
My dreams are nothing but trickery
And my thoughts are so deceiving
My mind, so preoccupied
I can’t concentrate on anything
Suddenly there’s only longing for something
And I can’t wait to make a mistake
Maybe it’s the desire for shattered things
That keeps me up
Perhaps it could keep me from thinking logically
Perhaps I could unfold, finally

Bound
You’re
standing on the edge
You can’t see what’s ahead
Will you take that little step?
Or will you just go home instead?
You’ve been here a hundred times
And you’ll come back again
Cause you keep changing your mind
Every now and then
You play it on repeat
This idea inside your head
In the dark you don’t stop moving
Like you’re following a thread
And even though you can’t see
Everything becomes so clear
This idea, this place you’ve come to
You know you belong here
You can’t see what’s ahead
Will you take that little step?
Or will you just go home instead?
You’ve been here a hundred times
And you’ll come back again
Cause you keep changing your mind
Every now and then
You play it on repeat
This idea inside your head
In the dark you don’t stop moving
Like you’re following a thread
And even though you can’t see
Everything becomes so clear
This idea, this place you’ve come to
You know you belong here

Chasing Streets, Chasing Strangers
In a sea of
lights, in a jungle of concrete
We tend to get lost but we’re never getting bored
With pollution in our lungs, we laugh and we cough
Strip our faces off and change our names until we’re torn
Lovers or sisters, inseparable since we were born
And
what strange things we say on a stranger’s day
With blue lips we bare our teeth, never in a need of heat
Ever so entertained with our little game
Not an ounce of shame when we lie, laugh, and cheat
Our little entertainment is the sweetest sort of treat
We tend to get lost but we’re never getting bored
With pollution in our lungs, we laugh and we cough
Strip our faces off and change our names until we’re torn
Lovers or sisters, inseparable since we were born
With blue lips we bare our teeth, never in a need of heat
Ever so entertained with our little game
Not an ounce of shame when we lie, laugh, and cheat
Our little entertainment is the sweetest sort of treat
