Dream Marine
There’s a soldier ahead
Leave the path
Follow him instead
In the middle of violence
He starts to speak
Breaking the silence
It’s hard to ignore
The madness he sings
Never heard it before
He asks me to swim
My muscles weakening
As I follow him
Time to go down
Into a chaos
I start to drown
I don’t struggle for air
There’s no need
Because chaos is fair
I’m all sorts of terrified
But it makes so much sense
Now that I see the other side
Leave the path
Follow him instead
In the middle of violence
He starts to speak
Breaking the silence
It’s hard to ignore
The madness he sings
Never heard it before
He asks me to swim
My muscles weakening
As I follow him
Time to go down
Into a chaos
I start to drown
I don’t struggle for air
There’s no need
Because chaos is fair
I’m all sorts of terrified
But it makes so much sense
Now that I see the other side

You Win
It’s a frustrating thing to see
The days turning gray like this
And to be so powerless
But I see a hint of color ahead
Dark and muddy, green of the wild
Something rough, yet so mild
Frigid, but there’s something else
The mist of a warm breath in the air
So welcoming, and it’s right there
It’s an overwhelming kind of awe
And once again it lures me in
Just as it has always been
The days turning gray like this
And to be so powerless
But I see a hint of color ahead
Dark and muddy, green of the wild
Something rough, yet so mild
Frigid, but there’s something else
The mist of a warm breath in the air
So welcoming, and it’s right there
It’s an overwhelming kind of awe
And once again it lures me in
Just as it has always been
