Chance

I can’t help but wondering
Of how it could have been
If it weren’t for my stubbornness
Would you still be my friend?
No point in pondering, I know
Our bridge has washed away
There’s no pieces left to pick up
No more words to exchange

Everyone’s so quick to move on now
I always drag behind
Getting stuck in every corner
Of my disoriented mind
It’s a tiring life to navigate
A world full of strange faces
Unlike you, I can’t find comfort
In these unfamiliar places

Stars won’t tell you anything
Can’t put your trust in fate
When the earth is in rotation
It just doesn’t like to wait
But I’ll paint my nails and watch them dry
As our paths grow apart
And I hope, for your sake, that you never
Have a change of heart

This Earth Is A Heartbreaker

When it’s nine in the evening
And I hear birds sing
When the thunder’s so loud
And there’s giant, black clouds
When the sun reveals strings
Left by tiny spiderlings
When winds play with my hair
And there’s a sweet scent in the air
When the sky’s full of spots
Thousands of shiny dots
And the moon catches my eye
I can’t help but cry
Because…
